The Second Christmas

A manger full of love.

The power of which

made the angels thunder

to wake the shepherds

to leave their flock
offer obeisance.

Made the star move

to guide the wise men
to the abode of the King
who was love
come down on earth,
to call men His own.

Once again as He comes
the stars will thunder
the clouds move apart
the trumpet will blow
all eyes shall behold Him
some to be taken
some left behind
to wonder
why they never believed.

A mansion of love awaits.
