When the same red blood runs in our veins,
When the same blue ocean washes our shores,
When the same green plants give us energy,
When the same pink roses add joy to our hearts,
When the same yellow corn is our staple food,
When the same white milk gives us strength,
When the same indigo is the color of our jeans,
Violin, the color of our dresses,
And grey the color of our ashes,
Why do we consider ourselves
So different from each other?
Look at the yellow stars, they twinkle
To one and all, those diametrically
Opposing characters, those with matted
Or curly hair, white, brown or black
Without any discrimination.
The same sunlight drenches our souls,
The same moonlight caresses all lovers
And the same waves fondle our breasts.
We are all like birds of passage with rich plumage
Resting on the lighthouse that guides
Our destiny and takes our ships
To the right direction.
Love is blind.
Let life, like love be blind.
Those with eyes see but discrimination
And the blind, with the power of inner eyes
Sees but grace and beauty.
