The Python

DSC05418

It’s the fragrant breeze

That brought you to my doorstep

And you nosed it

The drizzled hum of rain that

You grabbed the cozy comfort

As you lay idle

It isn’t any first sight love

Indeed a scaring breath upturned

The screening, too keen I mustered

A quick quirk, prompting

Lifted you to the pedestal of my heart

Blinking often, hesitating

I admit, something in full fledged wave

Uncontrollable resonant frequency

My mind’s whirling to admire you!

You, royal creature, your crafty attire

Those dancing thinly tongues

Cute eye balls piercing into me

I gather, Oh! Dear dragon sized snake

I too have fallen for your looks

As you had for my benevolence

How deftly Geetha conjures up the almost unreal, mutual (but not fatal !) attraction between the python and herself ! A lovely poem.
