The path of life

The path of life trodden with noble strides

To uphold the fragile experience of living

Sustained by imagination and compassion

Continuously enables us to apprehend

Our fragments of elusive reality,

Allowing the historical and biological context

Come to light.

We continue persevering and our heart says,

‘Om Shri Ganesha Namahah,’

Thereby having our obstacles cleared

And a wealth of ideas emerges

Championing humanitarian ideals

And freedom of action and thought.

Unfolding our wings, we soar to heights.

With love and truth fearless,

We reach the Himalayas, all glorious,

Music filling the air with echoes of

‘Om Namahah Shivayah’

While we say to ourselves softly,

Nothing is insurmountable.

Somewhere the storm of life is raging,

Fumes of volcanoes rising,

In millions fish dying,

Blue waters turning black with oil spilling,

Nations divided with wall building,

War raging and bombs exploding,

Women moaning and angels praying,

Eyes focused on sky, for help imploring.

And the path of life continues.

The great spiritual geniuses,

Whether it was Moses, Jesus, Buddha, Plato,

Socrates, Kabir, Guru Nanak, Mahavira or Emerson

Have all taught man to look within himself

To find God.

In spite of all that we go through,

We have to look within ourselves

To find God, our Guru seated in our heart.

Diligently, we shall pave our path

To meet absolute Truth bathed in beauty

For this is the whole purpose of our life.
