The Faces Behind A Face

You were too young to know, at eight,
The truth about
The faces behind a face and hate:
Your trusting eyes were shrouded
By their wandering lies.
You did not know that where there is no fear
Evil makes his presence felt:
Once lurking in the silent shadows
Now unafraid of horses and holy places
Stalking across blinding meadows.
We know that those who rape and kill
Wil rape again and kill until
Their loud and lewd voices
Are forever

    it is presumably dealing with the awakening of the innocence of the new generation into the faces of danger that have been there behind young minds dream… behind their passion… waiting for the chance for darkness to fulfill the evil. a poem of concern… 🙂
