The bucket

The bucket
The young
Construction-site
Worker,
Sunken
Chest
Naked,
Wearing a
Green cotton
Towel,
Wades through
Slush,
Floating garbage,
Head in a blue
Bucket,
Upside-down,
His only
Shield
Against the
Battering
July-evening,
Mumbai
Monsoon.

” The bucket ” , alongside ” rains..” are a beguiling example of the veritable catalogue of socially aware , incisive , contemporary commentaries that Sunil’s craft disguises as simple, short episodic narratives.
