Tear of fear

The deep blue blot,
dissolved in invisible water.
Her eyes grew distant,
her view became shorter.
The single cloud dried up
to be just a drop of vapour.
Scorching skies howled at them.

Rasp cries of the baby
smothered in the stained pillow.
too tired to cry anymore.
Searing heat still to arrive yet…
sodden grass will be past soon
Arid throats to be the talk of the quiet.
Lone tear of fear,
for long spell of summer .
