Taking the pain away

Nothing that takes

the pain away!

So you think

but watch nature’s way.

How she creates
a brook
upon your face

plants a smile

to ease your way

and rainbows to

alight upon your lashes
leaves a glow
within your eye.

By the time he is done with you
you become your smiling self again.

All that pain
taken, carried away
to help you
ease someone’s pain away.
