Visible (by Jade Thomas)

Visible

And he said it never happened…

However, she still felt a sharp pinch in the pit of her stomach, her pupils widened. The back of her neck began to sweat.Thoughts consumed her entire body and for once, her memories of another women enlarged.

How could she forget? How could she forgive? The love of her life could not cause her any pain. She knew he was dedicated to his work as much as he was to her. He amended his past and gave her anything her heart desired.

So why did he glance more than once that summer’s day and patted the neighbour’s pretty shoulder when she came home claiming she had been fired?

How could she have been so visionless? How could she have been gullible?

Are these thoughts all a coincidence or now has she become more visible?

He made a beautiful vow, her husband caressed her into his arms, the same places she always felt protected. “She is jealous”! He justified.

She stared with her blue eyes at the sparkle in her wedding ring, she felt disconnected. Her hopes and dreams shattered into a million pieces while she felt their first kiss on her lips. Once again the magical power of feeling in love.

She could still hear his voice through the pounding of her heartbeat. His declaration of undying love would always be with her but now would never be enough.

Suddenly, her mind was screaming aloud and nothing in the entire world mattered anymore. Unforgiving images came flooding into her perfect life.

She could not handle the pressure of her soul darkening; she clenched the sharpest kitchen blade that hung down symmetrically to their family portrait.

She was no longer a person with a conscience or even a human being; she was no longer a beloved wife.

Frederick and Geraldine (Part 1) (Pirates Poem)

They wanted to sail on the sea of life.
They built an ideal ship as in dreams.
Frederick and Geraldine, his sweet wife
Began sailing to explore new extremes.

Sometimes, he used to call her ‘’Crystallind.’’
On their ship, they carried good merchandise.
And he taught her to scream in the wind,
Creepy creeps with strong thoughts to harmonize.

He wore glasses, and his blue eyes were eyes
Of loveliness, when she called him ‘’Firstborn.’’
He was as a child, but one wondrous wise,
He had black tresses that were never shorn.

From the watery green, their happiness
Touched the abstracted infinite of the sky-
The land was a thought- ‘twas togetherness
In that place where that much, no bird could fly.

She could do so many things in bad days,
But if she stopped loving him, she would die.
Being pregnant in that garden of praise,
She received a heart emerald thereby.

‘Twas a day to meet the ship of pirates
In searching for treasures in the islands.
She saw the danger through her man’s iris.
The pirates attacked them to take diamonds.

Frederick, the child, leaped inside her womb.
His father and the crew started to fight.
The pirates’ ship went to the waters’ tomb,
And Holy tears was poured on them for light.

Searching for Alicia May : ( Notes from the Investigation )

: That dirt track
leading into the woods
the shortcut into town
where years ago Alicia May went missing.

” Didn’t have CCTV back then ,
so in town that day
no-one recalls seeing her
not at the grocery store,
all-nite gas station nor by
the bus depot “.

” All along that dirt track
they searched for two whole days ,
that was was after Alicia May
got reported as missing by her grandparents,
though she’d gone missing before
they never said anything at the time “.

: Later they would confide to the cold case detective,
that reporting her as missing the first time
would only have upset her aunt and uncle
with whom Alicia moved in right after
the fire a year earlier.

” Come to think of it ,
she had disappeared before
on the anniversary of the fire ,
that took both her parents
and folk forget like how Alicia May
wasn’t home when the fire started and no-one
could recall seeing her around on that day “.

: Summers came and went
and the woods didn’t see much
of kids from the neighborhood as once before ,
stories had gotten around
about Alicia May taking that
shortcut into town .
