Star Board

Pray for desires
wish for happiness
yearn for success
won’t settle for less
I can’t be a mess
trace of luck
dash of misfortune
splash of colours
on my canvas
shades of grey
blue and bay
my ship sails
sea, rough or calm
no qualms
about the course drawn
my resolution on board
am not a pawn
on destiny’s checkerboard
quail am I
or phoenix be it
pray for desires
wish for happiness
that be it !
