Companionable companion,
O sweet solitude,
Flee not away,
My heart will cry.
Anchor of my purest thoughts,
You gave me wings
To fly at my desire,
In a let-go-all spirit,
In the midst of whips
And lashes of time,
Manifestly absurd,
And the inexplicable complex,
Relations of life,
With men and women
Of all seasons and climes.
You have nursed and tamed
My feelings wild and mild,
My plummeted heart,
You made it whole with your touch,
With mythical love found in fables,
Deep as ocean depths, unfathomable.
In this uncompromising
Hard-edged candour and sophistication,
Coming to you is like home coming.
I feel like I am lying
In a pantheon somewhere,
Where an avalanche of black holes
Come cascading with grace ethereal,
Where my realities blend with other realities,
While the gears of time
Ground down,
In a propulsive song,
As sweet as my mother’s lullaby.

Profound!
