Solace

Felt never before
The feelings of nothingness,
The lonely face looks around.

You have given a word…but never come back.
Decisions and choices…all thrown out of the window,
Sitting here, I wait for you…days and nights.

I have seen those days when
The merciless sun drives away the clouds.
The birds never come out of the womb.

I have seen those nights when
The moon collapses on the river beds.
The stars hide behind the stormy clouds.

The transformations and rebounds
The miracles of every shape and size
Find only in books…in speeches…in films.

You are not here…may be somewhere
Perhaps feeling the same…the pain and grief,
These thoughts can only give me solace.
