So to them
I am the constant reminder
Of their crime
Of their sins
Of their soul’s corruption
Forty years later
They thought absolution is in order
They thought time erases all trails
They thought God can be fooled
So to them
That corpse hanging from the ceiling lamp
Slowly rotating its own darkness
That lost destiny
Meant nothing
So to them
My mom was just a drama queen
Why should God even bother ?
They confiscated all the memories of her
Brain washed me completely
So God should reward them with wings ?
With its discernible tropes of violence ,death and family quarrels ,this would make an ideal soliloquy in a stage play akin to a Shakespearean revenge tragedy.
Thank you so much, Louis Kasatkin!!!
