Sea’s running dry

Why is this salt sea of tears

coming out through my eyes

as deathly fountains

not running into the oceans

of grief that came into being

at your loss?

Why does it still rain heavily

in a mirror image of my fears

that all that my mind held riches

is now washed away by the years

spent loving you in vain

and all that’s left is my bier

and love’s and my death

in unquenchable fire?
