Sweet scent lingers in the air
As dewy drops of perfume permeate my being
Soothes the soul when it’s crying out of despair,
Calms the spirit when the road seems a bumpy ride
And the ghosts of my past don’t seem to disappear.
What is the shade of your life
When you’re at the crossroads and nothing seems to be right?
The candy smell of fruity flavors liven up my senses
Takes me out of the darkness
And that is when it begins to be colorful again,
My world, my sanctuary
As the lingering aroma seeps into the four corners of my room.
A wicked spell you cast down on me
As your fragrance leaves a wonderful memory
Taking me back to the times of you and me
Telling myself ironically,
To just let go and finally break free

” Scent-sitivity ” is well composed ; were the poem itself a fragrance then it would be one by Coco Chanel.
Thanks, Louis 🙂
