Rising Sea

Sea was swelling huge
waves were rising high
sands on the shore
were sinking with a sigh…..
ships deep in the ocean
navigating through
raising their nauticals
praying was the crew…..
Cyclone was brewing
deep in the ocean
only to land
amidst cataclysmic destruction…..
Year after year
every year
around the world
and in my pier,
Sea gushes in,
engulfing all
washing away every thing
standing tall….
why this aggression?
in our recession
causing depression
and taking possession
of little that we have…
swoosh comes His magic wand
Noah’s ark afloat, and sand
rushing with the swirling band
of waves caving and convexing
rising up to the sky….
human mind is no different
when in turmoil,
soon comes depression
followed by aggression
and surely ends in destruction….
yes, the same rules apply
to wind water earth and sky
turmoil will surely destroy
But love will certainly deploy
peace, prosperity and harmony
though cyclones may land many…..

A well intentioned work, where as a reader I can see where it wishes to go to but I don’t think it quite manages to get there. At least not as straightforwardly as could have been expected because of the congestion and stop start motor of authorial ambition.

Thank you dear Louis for guessing my start stop state…indeed I did not finish in one go and the track changed.
Thank you for this comment….I wrote one more poem this morning as I woke up to find your comment in my inbox 🙂

The seamen caught in Cyclone Tawate on Bombay High come to mind . Sadly many could not be rescued
