Reply to a Beloved

Darling, you know you mean the world to me,

Please know it, feel it, see it, my sweety,

Do not ever doubt me,

Or chide me,

Rest assured you are my life, my gentle joy,

 Yes, my every moment joy.

Mina, I do not promise you the sun and stars,

Just know this my pretty lass,

You’re the one I have chosen,

You make my heart beat faster, and gladden

Me and my very existence.

Now come to me, in my embrace.

There, are you satisfied?

Trust me when I look at you, I am pacified.

I am no poet my sweetheart Mina, to eulogise

Your beauty, so, let me apologise,

When I look at you, oh me!

I feel something happening to me.

Indeed, you soothe my soul, my honey sweet,

You are the one to give me every time a thrilling beat,

Not my ephemeral exhilaration, my sweet

But my daily tonic, my balm,

For you bring so much calm,

Yes, darling, you always take away all my qualm.

“ All my qualm “ is a most unusual usage though perhaps not technically incorrect .
The rest poem seems to be an intriguing dramatic monologue
