Perhaps

We long for adventure, seek out a change.

Wheels ever turning for new rearrange.

Excitement and Romance.

Riches, and Fame,

and then, as it crumbles

here we are ,

just the same.

Perhaps the adventure, lies deep in our soul.

The longing, the yearning,

just to feel whole.

To live every moment as it were our last.

One day at a time,

 letting go of the past.

Giving thanks for the good,

the beauty,

 the pure.

The honest,

 the lasting,

of which we are sure.

Perhaps the adventure,

is in eyes that can see.

All of the wonder in you and in me.

The distance so travelled.

The mountains so climbed.

Unknown, the journey still yet to unwind.

Perhaps the adventure,

 is just as we are…

Dreaming our dreams,

and shooting for stars……

Some poems, some times really do “grab” your attention as a reader. Other poems, might make purposeful impacts that you experience as some kind of aftershock. “Perhaps” is one great, scintillatingly spiritual, loving embrace.
