Every night as I lie on my bed
Anxiety sets in
My heart beats fast
Feeling tense and restless
Feeling negative about everything
A partial chest pain and irritated
Trap in my mind
Thinking of the past over and over again
I couldn’t sleep
I stay late at night
I sleep when the sun rise
One of the many joys of undertaking this odyssey of re-discovery across the vast tracts of archived poetry, is the stumbling upon 0f neglected gems such as ,” Night Anxiety” .It is ever the distinguishing mark of a gifted poet, such as Ann, that they handle potentially problematic issues and topics, particularly personal/emotional ones with a self-evident elan and bristling self-confidence.
Thanks!
