Going back to work is a real chore
But I figured that’s what you wanted for me
Because I prayed and you sent me here
Did you think I needed a lesson in patience?
Lord help me in my job
Just to be the best I can be
Help me do the right thing always
In spite of what I see
Help me be on time each day
Lord you know the parking is going to be rough
But with your help it won’t be quite as tough
I might just have to walk a mile do you think that’s enough?
The job I’m not sure about and neither is anyone else
I’m not sure I’ll know what to do since no one does
So if you could help me Lord I can muddle through
There is no clear instructions telling me what to do
So you will have to help me do it as I go
No one here really knows what to do
We are going around in circles Lord
And there is nothing anyone can do
I just want you to know
If a lesson in patience is what I need
I think I ‘ve got it now Lord
So could you clear the way for me
Difficult people difficult situations all are there for a reason….enjoyed reading it.
Thanks, I guess lots of people may feel that way, I was just moved to write it down.
An enjoyable read.I especially liked the line, “I’m not sure I’ll know what to do since no-one does”;a universally shared experience………[ Editorial Note…Punctuation seems entirely absent..]
Thank you Louis for your comments. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in what I’m writing I forget about punctuation. Thank you for reminding me that it is in fact as important as what I’m writing. Glad you enjoyed it.
