Naya Savera (Gennext)

They came
they fought ,
they trashed all doubts
they conquered !
they now rule our hearts
they govern our lives ,
they are loving
they are caring ,
they are gentle
on our gullible minds ,
they are strong
sometimes stubborn ,
yet malleable when
emotions flutter ,
soft and tender
roots ; long and slender ,
shadows long and short
skies clear or dark ,
nothing matters
they are gritty and fierce ,
they dart and win
take charge and spin
the wheel of glory ,
to churn out
success stories ,
they are our tomorrow
they are the dawn
they are our future
when we are gone,…….

The above poem describes the next generation , that is today’s youth who are often targeted in criticism by the conservative orthodox or those who do not approve of their way of life……

‘Naya’ means New and ‘Savera’ means Dawn in Hindi which is the National Language of India and here the next generation is fondly referred as Nya Savera!

A commendably bright and breezy work which raises the question as to who ” They” might refer to.

    Editorial Note:-
A footnote giving the general reader some context as to what the title relates to might prove beneficial.
