My Life (So Far)

Below the brown and barren hills
Stretch yellow fields of daffodils
Dawning…
Yawning…
Spawning newborn life;
Waiting for the twilight’s dwindle,
Golden petals turning brindle
Persisting…
Resisting…
Existing free from strife;
When from above, a revelation!
Rain descends in celebration,
Drenching…
Quenching…
Clenching days galore;
Supple tendrils greet tomorrow,
Dripping with forgotten sorrow,
Cleaner…
Leaner…
Greener than before.

    I love this one—–“leaner and greener”- that is what life is meant to be ! but how we waste it in meaningless pursuits !
