Moon’s Songs

The moon sings to me
Songs of delights
Songs of lamentations!

The moon sings to me
And to the whole of Existence
So much that dancing to its tunes
Are the tides
Sensually ebbing to and fro
From the shorelines
Wanting to be so attractive
As to snare humans in their mysterious game!

The moon sings to me
While I,
Oblivious to its voice,
Reads out my poem to it
Wanting to be heard
Wanting to be listened to
As a poem
If not shared
Is of no use!

The moon sings to me
And I, lost in its silvery hue
Feverishly dips my finger in my heart
And write,
On the night sky
Of my deepest secrets
Hoping stars, galaxies, mysteries and Gods
Would extoll them!

The moon sings to me
And I swallow the tears that slide down my face
Of what use is crying
When my pain is not even acknowledged?
Of what use is crying
When someday, life shall open to me a door,
A door leading to there where flowers speak
And lions cuddle
There where rivers are alive
And Gods reside, in flesh and blood!

The moon sings to me
And I, mesmerized by the passion whirlpooling in me
Simply look up at the night sky
Obediently submitting to its whims
After all,
Life is meant to be a fall
And a fall is meant to be a suffering!

At least the moon is there to pretend that I pain not
While it skillfully sings
Causing me to write in rhythmic beats to its tempo
Of the purpose of my stay
On Earth!
