Words axed
the fused roots.
of oneness .
Splinters flew
sap oozed
body swayed.
The branches
flailed its arms
in despair
to hug for one last time
before being torn apart .
With a loud thud
love lay down
to rest
unmindful
of the clamour.
Pretty poignant -the simile so drawn between axed love & axed branches demonstrating the power of poetry- kudos to Madam Anna Maria for evoking such emotions.
Concise , sharply drawn and to the point.A good example of that age old aphorism , that less is more.
Thank you Louis Kasatkin and LokeshRoy ..for the words of encouragement:)
