lost….in your eyes….

Lost in wild lanes of your eyes,
I come out of reverie, gazing into nothing.
I blink my eyes, looking at the horizon of your skin
Is it the thumping sound that of your heart?
Or, my ear drums reverberate with my heart?
My heart which is Shrieking in sheer need of you?
A tear wets my cheeks, grazing my desert dry eyes,
A smile passing by ,looks back, hauntingly at my lips,
But turns back blowing a shimmery whistle of desolation.

Perfectly captured ,by this poem like a batsman’s errant stroke that places the ball keenly bowled straight into the wicketkeeper’s glove, this poetic tour de force delivers emotional and psychological ambivalence and uncertainty in one fell narrative swoop.
