let me strip myself

Let me strip myself
Of my sheen and shine,
The dusky sexy skin
That covers me,
And hides my arrogant self.
The charm of my deep sea eyes
The magic of my husky laughter.
All that draws you to me.
Let me show you that
I am a simple human
With faults and flaws.
The short temper,
And tendency to hurt and blame.
Let me strip myself of my degrees,
The accolades that won in years,
Let me give away all that sweetness
That I pretend when you are around.
See me, the wild savage one,
Full of desires and vengeance.
See me what I am.
If you accept me still,
I will be the way you loved me,
If you will want.
