Lawns and ledges

From the ledge
the sound of flapping
was it the doves
or my heart’s restless
galloping?

From the ledge
the sound of cooing
was it the doves
or my heart’s gentle
murmuring?

Neither
the doves
nor my heart .

The breeze
carrying in the songs
of your longing
to lodge
on the ledges,
my lawns adorning.

A poem that exudes the ineffable quality of a gentle daydream. On a very minor aesthetic point, the line ” was it the doves “,prepares the reader’s expectations.,and that fits perfectly with the idea of ” murmuring” , but with the idea of ” galloping ” ? Do Doves’ hearts gallop ?
