Kashmir

Someday
I hope to be there.

Till then
let me play
with the snowflakes
of words.

Let them fall on my face
the flutter of words
that land on my pages
on which I ski
in endless twists and turns
spewing out poems
on the snow laden
lawns of my mind.

Let the haunting music stream
over the lakes of my dreams
reflecting the azure skies
as I steal a crumb of snowflake
carry it within me like a flame
to melt me in my dreams.
