i will live, at this moment and forever
and i wouldn’t concede death be my taker…
though maybe in my fathomable slumber
i will bleed in darkness to savor life’s splendor
let the full moon resplend to haunt the night
as i reconcile with my thoughts in sight
and in visions of my dreams a spark of light
a delusion of life unknown harboring fright
the echoes of the howling roars from dusk
to unveil the mystery of the daylights mask
the ravens call with the sweet song of the dark
alluded a poor soul into a falsified hark
i manifest the notion to live in immortality
surrender the body engrossed in full spirituality
healing the everlasting wound ceaselessly
as the dawning shall come again in life endlessly
i will live, at this moment and forever
and i wouldn’t concede death be my taker…
surrealism art in acrylic painting by suzette portes san jose
Beautiful poem and painting dear Suzette
The work strikes a sombre tone alleviated by familiar tropes that bring to mind Edgar Allan Poe.
In many ways, a deeply spiritual poem.Lovely painting.
The poem is as beautifully painted with words as beautifully painting speaks with its strokes.just lovely
We all can defeat death in different ways. Loved the poem.
