I am taking my time; don’t really want to do this…
Slowly and reluctant as was I thinking of something…
Your words so definitive…
So infinite…
I go around getting nothing done, don’t really care for tomorrow…
Ever so quiet in all I should have thought about and said…
Your decision is so definitive…
So infinite…
If I stay here just a little bit longer, only minutes…
Speculating how to postpone the unavoidable…
Your verdict is so definitive…
So infinite…
I stop for a moment and stare out the window, looking at nothing…
The rainbow shinning in shimmering color in the corner of my eye…
Your mind is so definitive…
So infinite…
I know how the story goes, lonely days gathering…
Follow your heart is something impossible to do…
Your heart is so definitive…
So infinite…
If I stay here just a little bit longer, only to delay the pain…
Speculating in how to stay here and never face the truth…
Your choice is so definitive…
So infinite…
An interesting literary piece.
The author’s inimitable poetic acumen makes this a delightful and engaging work. For me there was more than a hint of Bob Dylan’s “If You Gotta Go Go Now” about it.
