I’m a woman,
I’m a fighter,
I fought as a child,
I fought for my toys,
I fought to be chaste,
I fought for love,
I fought for motherhood,
I fought for faith,
I fought for opportunity,
I know how to put up a good fight,
To give it all of my souls true might,
To stoke my hearts fire,
Till it melts my resolve pure,
I know when to give up a fight,
To know when I have arrived right.
I do not have to pen these couplets,
Or worry that I may forget parts of it,
For its me, as poetic as much it can be,
No it didn’t slip into me in some reverie!
I’m a woman,
I know to win with loses,
I know to lose with wins,
Either way I win,
I’m a woman,
I WIN

Speaks a lot about a strong personality. Nice poem
Thank you so much sarada… 🙂
An excellent monologue that uncovers a strong feminine sensibility and sensitivity.
