Honey

Honey, give me some time,

Let me silence all those emotions

Before I come to meet you.

I wouldn’t like to appear like a shivering leaf,

I would love to appear like the rose, well-poised,

Filling with the fragrance of desire

The warm air around us

So that when you hold my hands,

I can look at you in the eyes

And not below,

Face drooping, all shy.
