( By Jan Phillips )
Your arms hold so tender
Your thoughts are so sweet,
It makes me feel safe
Whenever we meet;
Your shoulders show courage
Your lips taste of desire,
When I’m close to you
My blood turns to liquid fire;
I think of you
Each hour of the day,
With thoughts of special love
Though why I cannot say;
I guess its because
In every way,
You are the light of my life
And the ending of my day;
Your respect and admiration
Is all that I require,
But to be the love of your life
Is what I desire;
If ever I lose you
My body may not die,
But the sun will be behind a cloud
And the heavens will cry;
My heart will still beat
With a love that will not die,
In a body filled with sorrow
And thoughts that cannot lie;
For I have loved you always
With everything I had,
Some people think this love is wrong
I cannot believe its bad;
Without you
My life would be bare,
Although the memories I have
Will always be there;
So give me some hope
That your love shall be mine,
And together we’ll walk
Until the end of time.
Really excellent narrative,devotional poem.On a professional,collegiate note,the only editorial point I need to highlight is the work’s inital lack of punctuation,which I added subsequently for the readers’ ease.But the qualities and merits of “Hidden Love” are impressive.
It is hard to find knowledgeable people on this specific topic, but you sound like you know very well what you’re writing about! Cheers
