Heart of Pain

@AnnAguilar AM Aguilar

Restless, endless thoughts, formulating plans end up with nothing but despair. Torturing my mind, grabbing ideas of nothingness. Clueless me

Questions of faith, questions of trusts, will I go on? Would I just lay down and die? Pointless and meaningless journey through life, kills.

Questions of faith, questions of trusts, will I go on? Would I just lay down and die? Pointless and meaningless journey through life, kills.

Pain makes you weak, makes you strong. It breaks you into pieces, it breaks your heart, your soul, your mind. On and on, wondering in pain.

Happy to be here, are you? Or are you sad to be here? Poking your way through life, you don’t know what you’re getting, happy, sad moments.

Collapse or die. Rest or sleep. Eat for comfort. Drink but never fill. Empty promises you hear and can not keep. Trust no one stone heart.

    Very intense,what can be described as a ” mood piece”. Again,it has a striking resemblance to song lyrics,especially with the frequent use of rhetorical questions such as ,”are you sad to be here?” and given the tone of the work,it would have suited a vocalist such as the late Etta James or perhaps Nina Simone,possibly Janis Joplin.

      Interesting feed back, it wasn’t my intention to make it as a song lyrics but thanks. I am glad to hear that.

      You really have a way of analyzing a written piece. You know exactly how to categorize each piece. It is much appreciated! Thank you.
