Gratitude

Gratitude should be one’s attitude
It surely helps in multitude…..
It releases blessings
It diminishes ill feelings
It nurtures love
It saves human beings,
from monstrous ego
and disastrous pride
which pulls one down
on a long winding slide,
Grace and Dignity
in thought and mind
breeds affinity
and assists to unwind,
Being grateful for every breath
and every beat of your heart,
every sound heard and
every syllable uttered,
Being grateful for peaceful sleep
and every waking hour,
every finger that you lift
and every step of yours,
Being grateful to the peasants who toil
and the fields with black rich alluvial soil,
every tree along the path which you tread,
fragrance of every flower that blooms
blue violet pink and red,
Being grateful to those who hurt
and also to those who place malediction,
As they are the great teachers
who bring resilience, endurance and fortitude
Thus making Gratitude an Attitude
surely serves in multitude….
