What I gave.
It was never about what I could get
But what could be given
not just for me…
And all of myself was given away
to the low and to the proud
to the ones that stole my sky
Watch me laid there
empty and cry….
She said she was not deserving of me
Silly girl, reality lies…
We all deserve some kind
Beauty unspoken
Normal does not define these lines
When confidence sank in
She develops a sick grin ..
She craved better than what was in…
This is how she failed me…
Not seeing the gift that frees
It was never about what I could get…
It was never about what she could get…
But what could I give…
And I’ve given all of me!
Lost forever
Words never to be spoken of Again…
This is really all of me.
All i ever gave was,
all of me…
” Given ” is ineffably poignant .
