Fleeting moment

Love is a fleeting moment
when I meets eye
and look else where
for fear of being read.

Love is a fleeting moment
when you laugh together
and then smile
for fear of being heard.

Love is a fleeting moment
when you bid good bye
and then stay on
wanting to be held.

Love is a fleeting moment
when you leave
yourself behind
hoping to be returned.

Love is a fleeting moment
when you flee
taking life with you
and lay yourself on the pyre.
