First cut is the deepest

Reduced to few pixels on my lappy screen,
Rustle and whisper of love unseen,
Painful like a wound that is still green,
The forgotten dream that both of us seen,

What I see is not a portrait of my queen,
Ah, the fate has made me feel so mean,
A feeling lingers that world is so obscene,
I was made a zombie that I have never been,

I wish memories to die thousands deaths,
Never to haunt me till my last few breaths,
You did place on our love the wreaths,
Now the heart never beats nor heaves,

Memories have left a forever scar,
The string is cut from my heart’s guitar,
From my world you have gone too far,
The memory lane now looks so bizarre.

The wounds your love have inflicted,
For the crime of love,I was never vindicated,
Memory pierced soul under sky, blue,
For the first cut is the deepest, it is true.

The poem attempts to describe the agonising pain of lost love but the rhymes are sadly too contrived and contorted to allow it to be seen as a spontaneous outburst of pain , a cri de coeur.
