False colours
I have ridden under banners,
Held faith in words of trust;
Then found out in the twilight hour,
The lies that hurt so much;
Fallen for a soft voice,
Like ship wrecker’s false decoys,
Hoping when the storm had passed –
I was mistaken by the noise.
I held the hands of Angels,
That had risen out of Hel,
Knowing full inside, that destiny
Would cast me down as well.
Nine horses I have worn out,
In searching for my dream –
But false colours in the rainbow,
Are never what they seem.
Beautiful write. Loved your ink.
