Drowning, I caught the straw.
The straw smiled at me,
Eyes full of compassion
Knowing fully well that
It could not save me.
‘I leave your hand dear friend
For I would not drag you
In this huge watery tomb.
Weary of life, I depart
With regrets none
And smiles many.
