woven dreams, spiraling maze
trapped in a web-like labyrinth
and in such a sudden daze
of my illusions if not a bit of hallucinations
of less than vivid, herculean dreams.
i followed the shadow of the dainty fairy
leading to a mysterious, tranquil sanctuary
there i saw a wonderful collage of vintage memories
which made me cower.
come take my hand as we fly across the skies
follow the rainbow’s end and dance with all our might
be in the company of this colorful swarm of butterflies
see angels flapping their immaculate white wings,
singing divine melodies, what peaceful serenity they bring.
i saw my Prince slowly approaching my way
from beneath a formation of clouds high up in the heavens
with a ready, sweet smile and arms stretched out
wide enough to embrace me
he was beaming with love as we held each other.
we were about to kiss when the dream was suddenly cut off
turns out the dream catcher was on a standby mode,
but didn’t i tell you i possess the power to continue a dream
just like an episode with breaks in between
my dream became a reality when i woke up and he’s by my side!

Replete with familiar fairy-tale imagery and tropes such as the tower , a rainbow. etcetera ” Dream Catcher “, bubbles and fizzes with enthusiasm. However, the “magic ” does get stretched and the final stanza is perhaps one stanza too far,as the poem has a perfect cinematic conclusion in the second from last verse.
