Honey, please don’t,
Please don’t keep me waiting for too long.
With pleading eyes, I look at the moon,
Her beams filtering through the mango leaves,
And a cluster of palm trees
With beauty beyond comparison.
She knows that every inch of me is aching
With sweet pain
And my naked and unpretentious heart
Is beating faster and faster
While my journeying mind
Is trying to keep pace with your steps
Deep down the valleys.
She has promised to hold back the morrow.
Meanwhile, inhaling a deep inaudible breath,
I feel the wind rustling through the leaves
Kissing each other in love and camaraderie,
Releasing their charisma, sweetly seduced.
To comfort my throbbing soul,
I look at the gazelles
Running across the woods
Without presumptions nor reservations
While the fluffy cotton buds burst
And the pomegranates split.
While the Summer breeze sends
A rippling effect on the lake water,
I look at the stars
Riding across the milky way,
Enamored by the beauteous stance
Of the velvety moon.
With every shooting star, I make a promise
While silence becomes a source of strength
To my bursting breasts.
It drizzles.
Little did the drizzle think that
It would make me wet,
Igniting the fire of desire
Burning deep within me
With a lilac flame.
Please come faster.
I am begging the wind
To push you gently towards me
And the moon to show you your way.
I cannot wait anymore,
Please, do not keep me
Waiting for too long.
