Lying at the outskirts of a dark alley behold thee
A mad creature lurking full of wrath and fury
A world he once loved now denounced him
Leaving deep sorrows and penultimate chagrin.
“I used to be good but what did life just brought me? ”
Full of anguish on his heart, he chose to be a recluse
An abominable apparition once the crowd lays eyes on him
“Why are you looking at me with such bold mockery?”
He trotted to a corner, his footsteps marking black marks on the ground.
Heaven’s gates he thought wouldn’t welcome him again
Left him descending to the fires where he said he’d rather be
A place which brought even more pain and no hope for absolution
A white and black angel now digging up his conscience.
“Leave me on my own! I’m in a state of confusion!”
The fallen angel screamed reaching the far corners of the earth
A loud thunder and a blinding bolt of lightning echoed through the night
Afterwards brought a chilly air accompanied with a splash of ravaging rain.

” Descent of the Fallen Angel ” conveys a strong sense of” Sturm und Drang ” , and comes across as Wagnerian in tone . I was left with the impression that the poetic narrative could be part of scene from an apocalyptic Opera or other theatrical work.
