When broken and bruised, I came to you,
You always nursed my wounds and applied balm.
In a voice braiding many voices,
You spoke tome softly and soothingly.
Spreading your arms like a rampart around a castle,
You offered shelter and solace
To my disturbed soul.
When things went wrong, you sang a song,
Never allowing me to consume myself
In the dark alleys of solitude.
With your pen eloquent overflowing with love,
You wrote poems brimming with images
And metaphors, all apt for the situation.
I am unabashedly your fan.
You are such a sanguine creation of God,
How I wish everyone else was like you…………
An encyclopaedia of philosophical truths,
Insights, love and compassion, all in one.
You are not a shooting meteor
Whose light is so short- lived.
You are as bright and constant
As the northern star, irreplaceable.
When I look at the mist-drenched dawn
And listen to the singing of the roses,
I think about you………
The way you scoop ice cream for me,
Slice watermelon and remove the seeds,
While I wash the dishes.
Suddenly you come and hold me tight
From behind and grasping both my breasts
In your warm and loving hands,
You whisper softly in my ears,
‘Darling, let’s go.’
