Crackers (2)

The crackers are ready

a whole lot of them

right from the top

to the soles of my feet

enough to build a pyramid

remember the sand dunes

the sand flowing

through our fingers

taste of salt on our lips.

The crackers are ready

remember the ones before

the light that spread to the skies

the love mirrored in our eyes.

The night with its darkness

calls, are you ready

the crackers to burst.
