Come skipping beloved
your skirts gathered around
your beautiful feet
that sing the song of the waters
the gentle breeze and the skies,
silver anklets adorning.
Come skipping
nothing can take the place
of your fragrance
wafted by the breeze
but your scented belonging.
Come skipping beloved
to satisfy the longing
your slender arms around me
the puff of your heavenly breath.
I hear the sound of her footfalls
close behind me reaching
I close my eyes and pretend
that I may hear her greeting
like the cry of the gulls over the seas.
picturesque….. sing the song of the waters…… so very musical.
Thank you so much:)
A delightful read.
