Bloody wheat fields
Shut their eyes tight.
In front of a house with its head bowed,
In the middle of a crowd
Scorched like the earth,
With mud-colored cheeks,
children playing
In the fire of events.
New sounds!
Commands!
Khaki roars!
Camera eyes!
Children swept away like dust,
In the villages of the suffocated dead,
The joys of childhood…
Through the sugarcane plantations,
Wolves patrol again.
At daybreak,
Amidst the tall grass in the sugarcane field,
Forlorn lies the blood-soaked gown of a girl…
In the mystery of midnight
The pyre burns!
Memories, flashbacks!
Covered with ash!
In the shops of the cities
More candles are sold…
An excellent, powerful, and hard-hitting literary work that deals with shocking and painful contemporary events.
Thank you Vijay Nair. Humbled by your kind words
A beautiful poem full of passionate indignation at the injustice that fills our system
Marked by the sharpness of theme and a contemporary essence .
