slumbered in a lingering sleep
a soul drown from its deep
out of reality and beyond
into the unconsciousness fond
arise, my soul, enjoy the dream
abide yourself in realities realm
fulfill the longings from within
smile away woes with a silly grin
wandering in an infinite space
where no walls are there in place
lift your spirit with your desires
just beware of the raging fires
arise, my soul, to do comprehend
whatever lies at the rainbow’s end
life is a stormy rain in telltales be told
after all, can trail you to a pot of gold
be back my soul and share the joy
let be the heart to the fullest employ
and be awaken in the glory of content
fill up life with the fullness of reminiscent
arise, my soul, conquer the unknown
where life has gone and swiftly flown
go! fly high upon the blazing horizon
far where no cold winds can be blown
tell me then, the warmth you feel
i am here slumbered in the cold still
then wake up with a story to tell
IN ACRYLIC PAINTING BY SUZETTE PORTES SAN JOSE
A profound, spiritual poem and what a brilliant painting!
thank you for the never-ending appreciation dear Vijay my friend 🙂
An engaging and insightful work rendered with the author’s inimitable poetic aplomb.
sometimes the discontentment of life brings you the thought of finding more than what is there with eyes to find but the hidden shadows of what is real…thank you Sir Louise 🙂
