And As I Sleep …

I sleep and as I do,

I smile with the realisation of your smiling eyes

Lingering, resting over me.

As I am blessed with sleep, my eyes arrested,

As meadow great, she outstretches her weary arms

Encapsulating the sunrays’ warmth,

Encircling us, as we dream.
