An ode to a myna
The myna,
Gregarious,
Of the
Smart starling family,
With strong feet,
Flies easily,
Off her perch,
A cable wire;
This resourceful talking- bird,
In the warm humid air,
Fluttering her wings jauntily,
Her painted eyes
Looking large and cute,
The dark brown plumage
Hiding other body-colours
Beneath,
And
An overall passerine beauty,
Created by a master painter,
The wings,
Forming twin
Revolving circles
Of pure white,
The yellow feet,
Adding
A rare
Vibrancy
To her direct flight,
In a stark blue sky.
Superb. Sunil’s work is a constant source of delight.
And comments by Louis Kasatkin are my delight.
